Microbes and Infectious Diseases Editor-In-Chief

Abstract

Congratulations! Microbes and Infectious Diseases has been accepted for indexing in Scopus since December 16, 2022. On behalf of the Editorial Board, I am delighted to share this great news with the readers, authors, and reviewers of our journal. This achievement would not have been possible without their contributions, help, and support.
For the initial three years of the Journal’s age, we have struggled to achieve this indexing. Despite of international indexing in many reputable international databases and repositories as Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), EBSCO, Asian Source Citation Index (ASCI), Asian Digital Library (ADL), Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI), etc., Scopus remains as the world’s largest indexer of scientific content. One of the main advantages of having a journal indexed to this database is the international visibility that the Scopus structure provides.
The Editorial Board Members will continue working hard to meet the goals of Microbes and Infectious Diseases in delivering timely decisions and maintaining publication of high-quality papers through vigorous and scientific peer review process. The policies and guidelines of Microbes and Infectious Diseases would help secure sufficient quality and novelty of content to become competitive with our international competitors. After Elsevier approval, it is our concept to deliver and strengthen our impact factor as soon.
We would like to introduce our deep thanks to 80 individual reviewers who give so freely of their time and expertise to critically evaluating manuscripts for the journal. Our reviewers, like our authors, come from all over the world to maintain a wide authorship, readership and global citation activity. It is noteworthy that within the first three years of our journal’s age, authors and reviewers are representing over 35 countries.
Again, thanks to readers, authors and reviewers. Your valued contribution and cooperation would give us the power to drive the journal so far. Remember, a little “thank you” can go a long way.
